Typical incandescent bulbs used in marquee signs, like those often seen in casinos, hotels, and amusement parks, consume 10 to 15 watts of electrical energy per bulb.

MaxLite's LED Marquee Bulb has the same warm color temperature and same brightness levels, while only using 2.5 watts of power; that's an 85% savings in energy consumption. Its unique optics distribute light in an omnidirectional pattern, thanks to a backlit-trough design. The clear lens version also features a collimator to focus the light rays from the LEDs to simulate an incandescent filament.
