Select the Right Driver
Trulux LED strip lights are an affordable solution when you want flexible strip lighting that offers high technical performance, compatibility with many accessories, and the ability to adjust the length to whatever you need. For your Trulux linear lights, a driver is required for proper operation. These Trulux hardware drivers from American Lighting are available in two types.
- DR-Series Drivers: For use in LED tape light installations where a Trulux controller will be used or if no dimming or control is required.
- ELV-Series Drivers: For use in LED tape lighting installations if a third-party dimmer (such as a Lutron wall switch) will be used.
Features of DR-Series power supplies for Trulux flexible lights and accessories include short circuit, overload and over-voltage protection. These LED lighting strip drivers are designed for 12V or 24V DC constant voltage. Some models are for indoor use only, while others are rated for wet locations. ELV-Series power supplies are for non-Trulux single color wall dimmers. There are models for dry and wet locations, and these ELV drivers are forward phase, reverse phase and triac compatible. Both the DR and ELV series are highly efficient Class 2, RoHS compliant electronic LED drivers that are designed to be used with low voltage loads.
Important Notes
- Certain plug-in drivers can also be used for non-dimming applications. Refer to your Trulux tape light instructions for more information.
- Do not exceed the load capacity of any driver
